Journal Alerts

Use Journal Alerts to receive the following:

  • An alert when articles by a particular author are added to the database
  • Notification when new articles are published in journals you are tracking
  • The Table of Contents (TOC) as new issues of your requested journals are released
  • Notification when new articles that fit other search criteria such as subjects and keywords are published

Journal Alerts within BrowZine

BrowZine allows you to manage all your journal alerts from a single place. You will need to set up a BrowZine account, add journals to your Bookshelf, and then set up notifications. You can find more instructions on the BrowZine guide.

Setting Up a Journal Alert within a Database

Below are examples of databases that provide either a search alert or journal alert services (or both). To set up an alert, set up an account in each database of interest. These personal accounts will not be your UW-W Net-ID.

For journals or databases not listed, search the specific database Help feature using the word "alerts."

For assistance in setting up a search alert or a journal alert, contact the reference desk or your liaison librarian.
