Joining a professional association is a great way to build your resume. You will also make connections with others in your field and gain more knowledge about topic areas that interest you. This page lists a few prominent marketing and advertising associations.

American Association of Advertising Agencies (4A's)
The 4A’s was founded in 1917 as a national trade association to represent U.S. advertising agencies.
American Marketing Association
Established in 1937, the AMA is one of the largest marketing associations in existence. They offer relevant information to both practitioners and researchers in the field
Brand Activation Association
A division of the Association of National Advertisers, the BAA is a trade association relevant to promotion marketing, digital marketing, shopper/retailer marketing, sponsorship and experiential marketing.
Business Marketing Association
The BMA, a division of the Association of National Advertisers, has offered expertise in business-to-business marketing since 1922.
Direct Marketing Association
The DMA's mission is to "advance and protect responsible data-driven marketing." The Association was founded in 1917.
