Trade Publications

Trade publications are industry specific and contain reliable data and analyses usually authored by industry experts. 

You can limit articles by trade publication in any of the key databases found on the Market Research Resources page. 

Find Trade Association on Business Insights (Gale)

Click on the above link and sign in with your Net-ID and password,

 Start from the Advanced Search screen.

Scroll down to: by content type and select: Associations.

Leave the search boxes empty, scroll down to the bottom and click: Search.

  1. On the right, under Filter Your Results, select Publication Title, and you will be provided with three Encyclopedia of Associations choices.
  2. Choose the encyclopedia of associations you need. If in the United States, you'll be using the second one, Encyclopedia of Associations: National Organizations of the U.S. 
  3. Select: Apply.

On the right again, under Filter Your Results, select: Search Within, then type in your industry in the search box.

For example, Airlines. Click: Submit.

Under Associations, you'll see the first few listings. In order to see the entire list, click on Associations.
