Collaboratories
Rooms are available to groups of 2 or more students on a first-come, first-served basis. A room may be used for up to a maximum of 4 hours at any one reservation period.
- Reservations must be made more than 4 hours in advance and may be made no more than one month in advance.
- A valid UW-Whitewater ID is required to reserve a room and may be made in person at the Circulation Desk or via telephone (262.472.5511).
- Failure to check in at the Library Circulation Desk 15 minutes after the reserved time forfeits the reservation.
- NOTE: Five collaboratories are also available in the Andersen General Access Lab (262.472.1994).
L1122 Collaboratory is equipped with:
- A MAC/PC desktop computer connected to the Internet and equipped with the same software as a lab computer, as well as Smartboard software
- A Smartboard for projection and collaborative note-taking. Please go to the Circulation Desk to check out Smartboard accessories, or for help using the Smartboard.
- Seating for approximately eight people
L1123 Collaboratory is equipped with:
- A desktop computer connected to the Internet and equipped with the same software as a lab computer
- A television monitor connected to the desktop computer
- Wireless connection to the Internet
- Seating for approximately five people
The Children's Collections Area & Story Time Space
Students and instructors who wish to reserve this area should contact the Reference Desk. Anyone can simply walk up and use the SMART Board. Request the SMART Board kit from the Circulation Desk.
- A PC desktop computer connected to the Internet and equipped with the same software as a lab computer, as well as Smartboard software
- Dimmable lighting
- Optional partition walls
- Flexible furniture arrangement

L1105: Lower Level (1st floor) Library Classroom
Instructors who wish to reserve this area should contact the Reference Desk. When not reserved, anyone is welcome to study here and practice using the equipment. Check out the L1105 Smart Board Kit (with special dry erase markers to use with the boards) at the Circulation Desk. Note: this is a quiet study space when not in use with a class.
- Seating for large classes and groups up to 62 participants
- Flexible furniture arrangement
- Main presentation computer, podium, and screen. This displays on the main screen in the middle of the room.
- Two whiteboards on either end of the room become interactive presentation surfaces when used with the Epson BrightLink projectors. Control these individually or use in concert with the main computer and projector.
- Guest laptop jacks/cables for all three presentation areas
