Political Science 302: Writing in Political Science: Home

An online course guide for researching topics in the field of political science for POLISCI 302

General Resources

Research@UWW  searches for "Everything" (articles, books, ebooks, videos, digital resources, government documents, etc.) from all disciplines. You also can search articles only or the local catalog only, i.e., UWW's books, media, and more.

Google Scholar can help you find both books and articles, but if you use it from off campus, configure the settings to access full text in Andersen Library's subscription databases.

Google Books can help you find books, read a summary of what the book discusses, and sometimes it allows you to search within the text and read portions of the text online.

A to Z Databases, Andersen Library's subscription databases, help you find articles (and sometimes other things like dissertations).

Find Journals is used to search for a particular journal, magazine or newspaper by title. The Library has access to thousands of titles, some online and some not.

Login to Access Library Resources

Access to licensed resources requires a login with a UWW Net-ID and password (same as UWW e-mail & D2L/Canvas login). The Troubleshooting page may help if there any difficulties.

Additional Political Science Resources

Please see the Political Science 101 guide for links to many political science resources, including sources for statistics and poll information.
