Andersen Library subscribes to many databases that can be used to locate book reviews, to help you select books for a specific interest or appropriate reading level, and to support lesson planning.
Children's Literature Comprehensive Database (CLCD)
Search for books by interest level, reading levels (Lexile), grade level, award winners, and more. Includes reviews from 27 sources including the Cooperative Children's Book Center [CCBC].
Literary Sources (Gale)
This is an electronic subscription to the Gale series of literary criticism, including Something About the Author and Dictionary of Literary Biography.

Find the right book for a themed unit or child's interest! Search for preK-8 fiction by genre, subject, keyword, "read-alikes," interest level, reading levels, and more. Discussion guides and full-text reviews from sources like School Library Journal and Booklist are available for many titles.
