The article presents suggestions for writing a philosophy. It states that one cannot be trained for writing a philosophy because its a personal exercise. It also mentions the things one should include while writing a philosophy which include personal values, description of how one will work, and expectations.

Presents guidelines in writing leadership philosophy. Essential values of an effective leader; recommendation for the development of a thorough leadership philosophy; and discussion of the philosophy to the staff.

The paper summarizes the importance of having a core leadership philosophy, coupled with guidelines on development and refinement.
