Academic journals, or scholarly journals, contain articles that are often peer reviewed. Articles are written by researchers in the discipline. Articles may be theoretical in nature, may be a literature review, or may be the result of a research study.
These journals contain articles regarding best practices, classroom application, current policies, and other topics geared to the practitioner as audience.
