These databases have more than just scholarly articles for your research papers! You can find all kinds of information on a specific company or industry. And by using library resources you can feel confident that you are reading credible information.
A note on dissertations: The Library does not have access to very many dissertations. If you locate a dissertation you would like to read, please contact Naomi Schemm (schemmn@uww.edu) for information on acquiring a copy.
This page will walk you through how to find the Wall Street Journal in Library databases, but this process applies to any newspaper, trade publication, or journal.
Click the Journals tab on the Library's homepage
Enter the title of the periodical (newspaper, journal, etc.) into the search box. If the title is multiple words, use quote marks to search the title as a phrase.
Press Search then choose the correct title from the results list. For the Wall Street Journal, make sure to select the Eastern Edition.
If you see the words Multiple versions found click the title of the publication. Then click the View It tab. Again, for the Wall Street Journal, make sure you select the item that says Eastern Edition. Click one of the links next to the Full Text Available At text. Check the dates underneath the link if you are looking for a specific year.
After clicking one of the links, you will be redirected to one of the Library's databases. Use the Search within this publication option to search for specific keywords or the title of an article.
Alternatively, you can use the Browse specific issues section to see all of the articles published on a given date.
