Undergraduate Research & Research Apprentice Students: Finding Articles/Research in Your Discipline

This guide is intended to help undergraduate students work through the literature review and research process.

Where to Begin?

Select a Disciplinary Database

The Library provides access to numerous article databases, some of which are specific for your discipline.

  1. Tap the Articles/Databases button on the Library home page.
  2. Select your area(s) of research.

NOTE: If you don’t see your exact area of research, consider that it is likely multidisciplinary. For example, literature for Biomedicine would likely be found by searching both Biology and Medicine & Health database categories.

      3. After you choose your discipline, focus on Best Bets as a place to start.

Get Assistance!

On the Best Bets page, notice that there is a librarian assigned to that area of research. Reference librarians are ready to provide research assistance to undergraduate, graduates, and faculty researchers alike! Do not hesitate to make an appointment or reach out to any listed.
