Philosophy: Home/Books

This is a guide to web sites and library resources to support research and exploration in Philosophy.

General Resources

Research@UWW  searches for "Everything" (articles, books, ebooks, videos, digital resources, government documents, etc.) from all disciplines. You also can search articles only, or the local catalog only (UWW's books, media, and more).

Google Scholar finds both books and articles. To use it from off campus configure the settings to access full text in Library subscription databases.

Google Books finds books and shows a summary of what they discuss. Sometimes you can search within the text and read portions of it online.

A to Z Databases lists Library subscription & other databases that help you find resources (articles, dissertations, statistics, etc.).

Find Journals is used to search for a particular journal, magazine or newspaper by title to see if the Library has access to it, online or not.

Login to Access Library Resources

Licensed resources require login with a UWW Net-ID (same as UWW e-mail & Canvas login). The Troubleshooting page may help with any difficulties.
