Services for Graduate Students

Items at UW-Whitewater or UW System?

You can check out an unlimited number of items, many of them for a whole semester at once. View checkout periods here.

image of the Get It -- UW Request link in a catalog recordIf you want a book that is held at another UW System library, you can request that for free via UW Request. In any Research@UWW record that says it is not at our library, sign in, then click on the UW Request link. Further directions here.

If you are a distance education student -- you live more than 30 miles from campus and do not have any on-campus classes -- you are welcome to use the Document Delivery service to have items (from Whitewater or from another campus) sent to your home address for free. (You will be responsible for the item’s postage, shipped with a tracking number, or delivery back to Andersen Library for returns.) Directions here.

Items outside of UW?

If you want a book that is not held in the UW system, you can request that for free via InterLibrary Loan (ILL). Directions here

Contact the Interlibrary Loan Office at 262-472-5524 or via e-mail at libill@uww.edu with any questions regarding ILL or Document Delivery.
