The purpose of this guide is to provide resources in answering the following questions as you seek scholarly publishing opportunities:

• Relevant journals and book publishers: How can I identify appropriate and reputable journals in my field in which to publish?

• What are journal impact factors and how can I find them?
• What about the impact of books?
• Will my article be easily found by others once published?
• What considerations are there in seeking to publish in an Open Access journal? What is "predatory publishing"?
• Journal alerts: Is there any way I can have research on my topic sent directly to me?
• How can I track the use of my article once published?
• How can I set up a profile (Google or ORCID) so others can easily track my research?
