Give Laptop Agreement Form to patron EACH time they check out a laptop

Staff: Fill out laptop number at top & initial at bottom

Patron: Students should acknowledge their responsibility to return it on time and to take care of the laptop

Have patron check over the laptop and note any issues (scratch & dent).

If there are major issues (cracked screen or case, large dent) that are NOT noted in Alma, then set that laptop aside & get another laptop for the patron.

Check Out both laptop and power brick in Alma

User log in & WiFi
-
Plug in the ethernet cable to connect the laptop to the network.

Student logs in - username is full email address and password for both Mac and PCs
-
Troubleshooting: Try restarting the computer while connected to ethernet if initial login fails

WiFi:

Go to Wifi settings and have them connect to Eduroam wifi using their full email address and password

Verify wifi
-
Unplug ethernet cable

Open a web page

Place signed Laptop Agreement in Equipment Room
Problem Laptop? If you find a laptop with issues, make sure to send a Tech Problems email and set the laptop aside with a note for Tech Services
