Jackdaw Collection

What is a Jackdaw?

Jackdaws are collections of primary source materials designed for classroom use. They include a teacher's guide, blackline masters, maps, facsimiles of documents, translations, photographs, maps, and more.

Jackdaws are filed in the Curriculum Collection Textbooks on the 2nd floor of the library. Search the term Jackdaw in Research@UWW to view the many subject areas available.

Notable Social Studies Trade Books

Notable Social Studies Trade Books (NSSTB)

Trade books are books are written for the general public and libraries - not textbooks. These include genres such as non-fiction books, graphic novels, historical fiction, and more.

Andersen Library regularly orders materials from the National Council for the Social Studies (NCSS) Notable Trade Book listing.
