You don't need to register just to use Artstor / JSTOR. However, to access these databases through the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, you must be a current UWW student, staff, or faculty member at either of our campuses.
If you'd like to create folders and groups of images, export image groups, etc., you will need to register. Make sure you login to Artstor or JSTOR (see instructions on this guide's Home tab) on the libraries' website or from the links in this guide. After logging in, select "Register" in the upper right to get started.
