Andersen Library has language study materials, including Pimsleur audio CDs for several languages. To find these materials, search Research@UWW's "Books, Media & more" scope for conversation AND "phrase books" or Pimsleur. Using the Advanced Search, you also can change the drop down box below the search box from "any field" to "subject" to browse subjects starting with the name of a language, e.g., German language.
Whitewater's public library, the Irvin L. Young Memorial Library (431 W. Main St.) offers Rosetta Stone, level 1 only, for learning 30 different languages, but you must be able to login with your Whitewater public library card number to start using it. Go to the library's home page and click on the Rosetta Stone link on the left side. There are other public libraries in Wisconsin that offer this or Mango (another language learning system) if you can't get a card at Whitewater's public library.
