Use Research@UWW to Find Books, Media, & More

Research@UWW, our enhanced catalog, contains records of all physical and streaming library holdings, such as books, videos, and government documents. It also has records for many periodical articles in our online database collections. For physical items it provides the call number and location of each item, which are needed to find these materials in the Library.

Research@UWW contains records for many of the journal, magazine and newspaper articles that are part of our online subscriptions. To find these periodical articles, see the Find Articles section of this guide.

Research@UWW is on the libraries' homepage. Type your search string in the center search box and press the Search button.

Briefly, it is worthwhile to use comprehensive and detailed Search Strategies. Be thorough by using synonyms and truncation when there are multiple ways to refer to an idea. Be focused by using AND to combine different ideas together. Remember to put phrases in quotation marks..

Sample Keyword searches:

"set design"

"set design" AND theat*

(try both spellings of theater when searching--theater OR theatre--or use the asterisk to find both plus other words with the same root)
