While our color printer in Circ is down, here's the alternate way to print in color for patrons.

  1. Bring up document to be printed on one of the Circ Desk computer
  2. Print document to Printer L1107
  3. A professional STAFF member should collect the printout from the Reading Room in the Archives
    1. Get keys from outside of Jennifer's office
    2. Fetch print job & relock door
      1. If there is a student in the Archives announce that you are here to pick up a print job
    3. Relock door and return keys to Jennifer's office

Other options for color printing on campus:

Andersen Media Lab

Students and Staff can use the form linked in the Circ FAQs (found on the homepage of this guide) or from ITS’s printing info to submit color printing jobs, including small format jobs for 8.5x11 paper. The Media Lab needs at least 24 hours notice and payment is an issue. Students MUST pay either by Purple Points or using a student org code. Staff can use a check or an org code. This option is NOT available to community members.

UW-W Bookstore

Community members, students, and staff can order print jobs from Printing Services. This requires 2 weeks advance notice. Anyone can pay for a job using cash, check, or credit card. You can also pay with an org code.

There is a new LibAnswers and LibCal login for the Circ desk account. I've updated the passwords on the iPad and the desktop computers with the new login. In case anyone needs it, the username & password is on the desk under the mat. Please note that the username is now a gmail email–for the LibAnswers queue to work correctly, we could not use the regular Circ email.

Papercut will no longer work when students are on a personal device and not connected to Eduroam.  If a student comes to the desk saying that Papercut is not loading on their personal device, please check if they are connected to Eduroam.  If they are connected to a hotspot or the guest wifi, papercut will not work.

There is a book on the hold shelf for William Weber. It is his dissertation. He does not need to check it out, UW Green Bay is giving it to him to keep. There is a note inside the book explaining the situation.

There are 5 Laptops that will be held for students who currently have a laptop checked out that needs to be reimaged.  The hope is we can incentivize bringing them back if patrons know there is a laptop available to exchange it with.  All 5 patrons have been notified that we will hold the laptop for them until October 3 (Thursday).  For now I will leave the laptop cart in the equipment room with a note on it explaining what is happening with them.  Please let me know if you have any questions!
