The online portal to Wisconsin state government.

State law available from here includes legislation (proposed bills, acts, resolutions) from the current and previous (since 1995/1996) legislative sessions, state statutes, and the Wisconsin Constitution.

This guide is a general description of typical procedures in the Wisconsin Legislature and designed to help you, the citizen, participate in the Wisconsin State Legislature. Citizens using the system will receive daily or weekly emails when specified legislative activity occurs. For example, users may choose to be notified about every action affecting a specific proposal, bills introduced by a particular legislator, activities of a specific committee, or introductions relating to a particular topic. Creating an account is required but free.

The WI Legislative Reference Bureau drafts all legislation for introduction in the legislature, prepares the executive budget bill, writes analyses of legislation, conducts public policy research and provides information about the legislature and its proceedings. The LRB publishes the Laws of Wisconsin, the Wisconsin Statutes and Annotations, and the Wisconsin Administrative Code and Administrative Register.
