How to Use Find It and the Journals Search: Home

Introduction to These Two Services

The Find It button appears in most of the library's online article databases when the full text of a particular article is not immediately available in that database. It appears in the list of search results as well as in item records, and is a time-saving program intended to help you determine whether or not you have access to the full text of the listed article elsewhere online or in print.

Another advantage of Find It is that if the full text of an article is not available online through UW-Whitewater you can easily request it through ILLiad by using the We can get it for you! (Document Delivery/ILLiad) link. Clicking on the provided link results in a prompt to login to ILLiad and key citation information will automatically be filled into the ILLiad form for you.

If you are not in a database where Find It is available, try using the Journals Search to determine whether and where the library has access to a particular article or journal.
