Finding Company Filings & Financials

Securities and Exchange Commission Logo

Public companies are required to file financial statements and other documents with the United States' Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Many individuals rely on access to this information when making investment decisions. You can find filings for public companies by searching the following sources:

Navigating EDGAR

EDGAR is a great place to go to find Company Filings. Just type the company's name into the search box. If you know the company's ticker symbol (SBUX is the ticker for Starbucks, for example), you can use the Fast Search box.

EDGAR Company Filings Search Page

Filings will appear in date order. If you are looking for a specific filing type or specific date range, use the filter options at the top of page. Click the Documents button under Format to retrieve the filing. If you're looking for ownership information, click the Get insider transactions for this issuer link in the blue box at the top of the page. Use the resources below to learn more about searching EDGAR.
