Purpose

This guide is a collection of online resources to help you with using the Artstor database, which is part of JSTOR.

Where is Artstor?

NOTE: As of August 1, 2024, Artstor was incorporated into JSTOR. There are now two access methods from the A-Z lists of databases.

    In JSTOR, choose "Images" tab before running search to access just Artstor and other image content.

What is Artstor?

Artstor is an online image repository of 3.3 million digital images in the arts, architecture, humanities, and sciences with an accessible suite of software tools for teaching and research. Take a look and see for yourself how the Artstor digital image repository can enhance your teaching.

Artstor is now a part of JSTOR. An alternate method of accessing Artstor is to go to JSTOR, click on the "Images" tab, and then run your searches.

Log In Directly to Artstor

To login:

  1. Start on the UWW libraries homepage
  2. Select Articles/Databases on the right side of the center box
  3. Select the subject Art & Design
  4. Select Artstor
  5. Log in with your UWW Net-ID and password
